Olivet Baptist Academy, Oyo was established proper on September 24^th, 2007. The need for the birth pf this parallel secondary school with Olivet Baptist High School came to limelight as a result of the present location of the school which was left unused as a result of the generation of a new development which made Olivet Baptist High School not using the place any longer as hostels.

As a result of this, the landlord thought it wise not to leave the landed property which was owned by the missionary and bequeathed to the Nigerian Baptist Convention unused. After much deliberations on what to use the land for, the Nigerian Baptist Convention thought that what it could be used for, is to have a parallel secondary school; with Olivet Baptist High School.

Hence, the birth of Olivet Baptist Academy; and the school started its operations properly on September 24^th ,2007 with nineteen students (19), thirteen (13) teaching staff, three (3) Kitchen staff, three (3) gardeners, two (2) administrative staff, three (3) cleaners, and two (2) management staff.
